Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
• Minimum of 3 years psychiatric experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• Current NJ State RN license; valid driver’s license.
• AHA BLS for Health Care Providers within 90 days of entering position.
• Psychiatric-mental health certification preferred; IV therapy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead nursing staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Assume administrative and clinical responsibility in the absence of senior leadership.
• Monitor and assure patient care is provided in a safe environment.
• Act as liaison with Access staff regarding admissions and EMTALA compliance.
• Direct and coordinate interventions during emergency situations.
• Supervise nursing staff during respective shifts.
• Conduct chart reviews and audits for regulatory compliance.
• Monitor and investigate environmental and safety hazards.
• Resolve conflicts with patients, families, and staff diplomatically.
• Mentor and coach staff regarding performance and professional growth.
