Job summary

Fairview Health Services seeks a Psychiatric Associate to join the Adult Mental Health unit on Station 12, an intensive treatment center delivering 24-hour care for high-acuity patients with co-occurring medical issues.

This night-shift role (11:00 PM–7:30 AM) involves safety checks, milieu management, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to promote therapeutic outcomes; SEIU benefits eligible.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in mental health, healthcare, or school setting (NA, NST, PCA, behavioral tech, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable individuals or high acuity behavioral needs.
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc, Red Cross)

Responsibilities

• Maintains safety of patient and staff by conducting safety checks and room/unit searches.
• Responds and participates in de-escalation of patients.
• Active milieu management with treatment team collaboration.
• Performs basic patient daily living routines and procedures per treatment plan.
• Provides educational programming with individuals or groups per treatment plan.
