This unit serves neuro, medical, and surgical patients with 1:3 or 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratios, requiring bedside cardiac monitoring and family-centered care. The role emphasizes collaboration with the care team and adherence to ANA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associates in Nursing required.
• Bachelors in Nursing required within 5 years.
• Graduates from a non-accredited school must have acute care experience or licensed health care experience and must have passed NCLEX.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge using the nursing process.
• Provide patient-family centered care and education.
• Document care and learning in the health record.
