Job summary

Sonoco Wood Reels division in Jefferson, TX is seeking a Production Associate to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. You will support production lines, monitor quality, and maintain a clean, safe workspace.

The role requires attention to detail, good communication with teammates, and the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Shift differential applies for the third shift.

Qualifications

• You have at least 1 year in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
• Get it done attitude and urgency to resolve problems/tasks.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of products and their quality requirements.
• Reliability, initiative, commitment, and quality focus.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
• Ability to perform repetitive duties, including stairs and long periods standing.
• Able to work quickly with craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating closely with other departments and teams.
• Troubleshooting problems and situations.
• Make incremental process adjustments, monitor and report quality of manufactured product.
• Learn to set up new jobs, train on other lines and in other departments.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
• Perform duties as designated by supervisor/manager.
• Support Sonoco’s quality and safety policies.
• Help out other departments as needed.
• Downtime is cleaning and straightening time.
