SI Group is seeking a Production Technician in Rotterdam Junction, NY for a continuous night shift after an initial days assignment. The role focuses on safe operation of packaging machinery, chemical handling, and compliance with safety audits.

Starting rate is $30.89/hr plus an hourly shift differential on the continuous shift; requires lifting up to 50 lbs and overtime availability. As an entry-level production position, you will join a team dedicated to safety and quality, with training

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn computer applications.
• Demonstrated strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills.
• English language proficiency (verbal/written).
• Strong mechanical and mathematical skills.
• Able to work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions with PPE.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform related tasks.
• Ability to work overtime including nights, weekends with notice.

Responsibilities

• Operate high-powered packaging machinery for intermediates and finished products.
• Safely handle chemicals and materials.
• Change filters and clean filtration systems.
• Assemble and disassemble the rotoformer.
• Troubleshoot issues with belts, rotoformer, and packaging equipment.
• Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping.
• Set up packaging for upcoming batches.
• Label, stencil, and placard intermediates, products, and rework containers.
• Complete required training, inspections and audits.
• Follow all safety protocols and operate a heavy-duty forklift.
