Job summary

Commercial Metals LTD in Houston is seeking hands-on workers to join our fabrication and production teams. You will operate rebar fabrication equipment, assist in loading and unloading stock, and follow safety procedures to maintain a clean, efficient worksite.

Role requires reliability, teamwork, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather, with the capacity to lift 50 pounds and cross-train on multiple machines. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, required to perform effectively.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and manuals.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to cross-train on multiple machines and follow safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Attend training regarding applicable equipment.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
• Assist in loading fabricated rebar on trailers and unloading stock material from trailers.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition.
• Operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Participate in CMC Safety Programs and uphold the Safety Culture.
• Crosstrain on multiple machines.
• Operate rebar fabrication equipment such as shears, benders, cranes, forklift, threaders, welding equipment.
