Job summary

Mars Petcare is hiring a Shift Manager - Nights at our Kansas City, MO manufacturing plant. The role oversees a multi-line production area on a single shift, coordinating training, enforcing policy, and driving continuous improvement to deliver quality products safely and efficiently.

Ideal candidates will have undergraduate education, several years of production and supervisory experience, GMP knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to work with all plant levels.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent, preferably in Engineering, basic sciences or business.
• Five (5) years experience in a production environment.
• Three (3) years experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Working knowledge of GMP.
• Ability to convey communications clearly and concisely.
• Understanding of major plant functions and cross-functional collaboration.
• Successful completion of a drug and background screen.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a multi-line production area on one shift.
• Coordinate short-term activities to meet quality, cost, safety and efficiency targets.
• Train and develop associates; enforce policy and strategy.
• Drive continuous improvement and reduce faults across the line/area.
• Communicate openly; support operations manager with performance metrics.
• Identify opportunities for technological and process improvements.
