Job summary

Oldcastle APG is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee a shift in our Greenville, SC operation. You will lead a team, ensure safety, quality, and output, and coordinate with maintenance on equipment issues.

The role emphasizes hands-on supervision of manufacturing processes, training of team members, and maintaining day-to-day production targets in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous team lead experience in a manufacturing environment.
• On-the-job training experience with equipment and process improvements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Comfort with climbing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling.

Responsibilities

• Set production goals and expectations.
• Visually inspect and test machinery; set up and operate equipment.
• Supervise department staff to ensure quality and production standards.
• Identify machine malfunctions and coordinate with maintenance for repairs.
• Operate forklifts and other handling equipment safely.
• Review production scorecards and daily reports.
• Maintain daily preventive maintenance activities.
• Track inventory usage and report discrepancies.

Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

Set production goals and expectations

Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment. Set up and operate machinery

• Supervise employees in department to ensure they meet quality and production standards

Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine

Operates forklift as directed and without supervision while adhering to all rules and regulations mandated by safety policies and procedures

Inspects work in progress and finished product

Oversee the daily preventive maintenance program

Track/report inventory and parts usage

Analyze scorecards and day shift production reports

Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Job Requirements

Previously team lead experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience providing on the job training to team members to include but not limited to the operation of forklift, bobcat, loader, and development of production machine troubleshooting skills

Ability to lift up to 50pounds

Endure intermittent climbing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling
