Job summary

Silgan Containers Mfg Corp is seeking a Production Mechanic to keep our coating and production equipment running safely and efficiently. You will troubleshoot, adjust, and perform changeovers while supporting a high‑volume manufacturing operation.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and mechanical aptitude; manufacturing experience is preferred. Night shifts are 12 hours, with a 4 on/4 off schedule and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred, mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, maintain, adjust, and changeover production and coating equipment.
• Perform equipment wash‑up and routine maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Repair and adjust equipment to return it to service quickly and safely.
• Monitor equipment performance to maximize efficiency and product quality.
• Maintain accurate production, maintenance, and changeover records.
• Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized.
