Job summary

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America in De Soto, Kansas, is seeking a Production Manager to lead multiple high-volume lines in a 24/7 facility, driving safety, quality, cost, and productivity goals. The role involves end-to-end manufacturing ownership and Lean-based continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include leading Supervisors, capacity planning, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver operational excellence and measurable results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership in a high-volume, 24/7 environment.
• Experience owning safety, quality, cost, and delivery metrics.
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing, 6S, problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Experience with ERP/MES systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, FactoryTalk).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to influence cross-functional partners without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Own manufacturing performance across assigned lines to meet safety, quality, cost, delivery, and productivity targets.
• Lead and develop Production Supervisors for effective daily execution.
• Drive capacity planning, labor optimization, and resource allocation per demand.
• Ensure standardized work, procedures, and operational controls.
• Monitor SQDCP metrics and deploy countermeasures.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain.
