Job summary

SunOpta in Midlothian, TX is seeking a Production Maintenance Technician I to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on food manufacturing and packaging equipment, including aseptic fillers and high-temperature processing lines.

You will operate under supervision, enter maintenance data into CMMS, read manuals, support senior mechanics, and uphold safety and quality standards in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Self-starter capable of working in a team-based environment.
• Knowledge of maintenance manuals and general shop math.

Responsibilities

• Wears PPE and adheres to Food Safety requirements.
• Performs planned, corrective, and unplanned maintenance on specified equipment.
• Enter time, parts and follow-ups into CMMS System.
• Maintain communication within the maintenance team for smooth shift transitions.
• Assist senior mechanics on complex repairs or services.
