Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Night Shift Supervisor in Itasca, IL to lead 12-hour production operations while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. You will train staff, manage overtime, and coordinate with maintenance and quality teams to meet schedules and cost targets.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Minimum three years in a supervisor role in manufacturing.
• Proven communication skills across all levels of the organization.
• Experience with problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Experience supervising more than ten employees.
• Shop floor reporting systems; MS Office; SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises hourly production staff and direct reports across a 12-hour shift.
• Trains and coaches employees on safe, efficient operation of equipment.
• Manages schedules, overtime, and manpower to meet production needs.
• Ensures product quality and adherence to customer specs.
• Promotes safety, conducts investigations, and implements corrective actions.
• Reviews labor and manufacturing costs and seeks cost-reduction opportunities.
