Job summary

Dieffenbach's Snacks is seeking a Lead Operator to head the chip-frying line and mentor a team of Kettle Operators. You will start up and shut down kettles, monitor fry oil levels, and ensure every batch meets quality and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with prep and packing, maintain logs, and keep the kettle room clean. A strong leader with a hands-on approach will thrive here, lifting up to 50 lbs and embodying teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in food production or supervising a team is a major plus.
• Ability to work in hot, fast-paced environments.
• Knowledge of GMPs, safety practices, and food handling or willingness to learn.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stay on feet during shift.
• Strong communication and team-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire chip-frying process to ensure each batch is a masterpiece.
• Mentor and support your team of Kettle Operators.
• Safely start up and shut down kettles.
• Monitor fryer oil levels to avoid soggy chips.
• Set up and switch out slicer heads to keep production flowing.
• Coordinate with prep and packing teams for smooth operation.
• Maintain strict quality and food safety from raw potato to bagged product.
• Keep logs and records accurately.
• Spot issues early and help solve them quickly.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment as needed.
• Keep the kettle room clean and ready for action.
• Follow GMPs and fire safety protocols; safety first.
• Jump in wherever needed; teamwork makes the dream work.
