Job summary

Plastipak is seeking a Process Technician in Massachusetts to operate extrusion and blow-molding equipment in a climate-controlled facility. You will monitor and adjust settings to produce high-quality plastic containers and perform routine maintenance.

The role requires a minimum of 1 year in manufacturing with high-volume equipment, a High School Diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. A 12-hour night shift with a rotating schedule is offered with a weekend-friendly cadence.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Manufacturing Production Technician with high-volume production equipment.
• Able to work a 12-hour night shift schedule with rotating days off.
• Preferred knowledge of extrusion or blow molding equipment.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion & blow-molding equipment in a climate-controlled production area.
• Monitor equipment and adjust heat control, water cooling and hydraulic settings to produce quality containers.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Perform quality checks on bottle weights and dimensions to meet specifications.
• Collaborate with the team to identify safety, reliability and scrap-reduction improvements.
• Participate in formal and on-the-job training for skill growth and advancement.
