Job summary

Yoh Staffing's client in Austin, TX seeks a Process Technician for a night/weekend shift on a contract basis. The role involves preparing samples for experiments, TEM lamella prep with FIB, metrology via FIB/TEM tools, and SEM/FIB/TEM system maintenance.

This onsite position pays $31–$35/hr and includes industry benefits. Candidates will perform focused ion beam and TEM tasks, optimize procedures, and troubleshoot to ensure smooth operation of the process lab.

Qualifications

• Prepare samples for experiments and evaluate process performance.
• Prepare TEM lamella samples with FIB and optimize procedures.
• Operate metrology tools in FIB/TEM labs to assess cross-section CD and image quality.
• Understand SEM/FIB/TEM basics and maintain tools through routine procedures.
• Perform SEM/FIB system maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for experiments, including coating, mounting, and organizing jobs.
• Prepare TEM lamella samples using FIB and identify cutting locations per instructions.
• Operate metrology tools for cross-section/top-view CD and image quality checks.
• Understand SEM, FIB, TEM fundamentals and perform routine maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and coordinate instrument repairs as needed.
