Cartamundi is seeking a dedicated Press Assistant for our Erlanger, KY facility. The role involves loading paper rolls onto the Web Press, preparing splices, and monitoring ink and press functions to ensure quality output.

You will also maintain the press, perform routine tasks, and document production details daily. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of offset printing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to follow written procedures.
• 1-3 years of offset printing experience.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Load paper rolls onto Web Press and prepare splices.
• Monitor feeder function and sheet registration for sheet-fed jobs.
• Audit stock for print quality and verify edition numbers.
• Operate press feeders and control ink fountains.
• Record paper details and document web press jobs in the system.
• Perform routine press maintenance and wash-up of press.
• Transfer inventories and assist with material handling as required.
• Complete daily task list and maintain safety.
