Job summary

Sheridan in Hanover, PA, is hiring a Machine Operator for the night shift. You will operate high-speed offset press equipment, set up jobs, and ensure quality output. Training provided. 5PM–5AM schedule with a rotating 3/4 day cycle, full-time position, with base pay $22–27 per hour plus shift differential.

Experience with printing presses is a plus but not required; safety and teamwork are emphasized. Applicants must lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical or quality issues.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain press equipment to meet production and quality targets.
• Review job jackets to understand customer requirements and communicate them clearly to your crew.
• Lead press helpers during production and downtime, ensuring smooth workflow and quality output.
• Monitor quality throughout each run—verifying color, registration, and stock specifications.
• Identify and correct visual defects to maintain consistency and accuracy.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on press equipment.
• Follow all safety and housekeeping procedures to maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
