Job summary

Hallmark Cards, Inc. in Lawrence, KS is seeking a Press Operator for a full-time night shift (11:30pm–7:30am) to set up and operate belt fold, page insert, and other presses for greeting card production.

Responsibilities include make-ready, reading layouts, maintenance, quality checks, and shipping documentation. This role requires performing duties safely in a climate-controlled environment, lifting up to 50 pounds, and collaborating with team members to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience in a packaging/press environment or similar manufacturing role.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally 70 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift; flex to reach and repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

• Perform make-ready duties on multiple press types with varying controls and production factors.
• Read layout, tickets and understand downstream processes.
• Diagnose and perform machinery maintenance repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Execute the Quality System including preflights, sampling plan and removal of salvage/spoilage.
• Prepare paperwork for shipping accuracy and production data.
• Demonstrate teamwork to influence goal completion and safety practices.
• Utilize safety practices.
