Job summary

Multi-Color Corporation (MCC) in Chesapeake, VA, is seeking a Press Operator Lead to supervise a team of print operators and oversee production of premium labels.

You will ensure safety, maintain quality, perform make-readies, and monitor equipment, while keeping quality checks and customer specs on target. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, supervisory experience, and 1+ year in printing press operation. Promotes clean work areas and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous supervisory / team lead experience required.
• 1+ years as a Printing Press Operator experience and/or training required.
• The physical demands require standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision and mobility requirements are needed for the role.

Responsibilities

• Oversees timekeeping, attendance, performance reviews, training, and development.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
• Manages Press Operators: safety rules, reporting safety concerns, and housekeeping.
• Completes make-readies to ensure correct print cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, and anilox rollers.
• Operates press to produce product per customer specs while maintaining quality, waste, and press efficiency.
• Completes required quality checks and procedures per the BRC standard.
