Job summary

RRD is seeking an experienced press operator for a 10 PM to 6:00 AM shift (Mon-Fri) with overtime as needed. Training on first shift precedes the transition to the third shift.

Starting pay ranges from $17.00 to $19.00 per hour plus a $3 shift differential, with comprehensive benefits. Responsibilities include preparing the press, verifying job specs, maintaining paper inventory, adjusting ink and solvents, and ensuring quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a printing environment preferred.
• Some experience in the operation of various hand tools preferred.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the press for a run by verifying job specs and setting up the press.
• Inspects the fountain solution, inking systems, rolls of paper and related mechanisms.
• Maintains proper inventory of paper and records usage on SPC report.
• Ensures rolls of paper are properly unwrapped, mounted and spliced as needed.
• Monitors paper flow during the run and installs new rolls when necessary.
• Collaborates with press operators and maintenance staff for equipment upkeep.
• May assist with make-readies and ink/solvent adjustments as required.
• Adheres to safety policies including hazardous waste handling and PPE rules.
• Performs other duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
• Follows ISO Quality Manual procedures as part of daily responsibilities.
