Job summary

Printpack is seeking a Press Assistant for the Grand Prairie, TX Converting plant. This entry-level role supports press operations, assists with material handling, and helps maintain equipment cleanliness and safety standards.

The night shift runs 7pm to 7am on a 3/2 rotating schedule. You will assist with ink and coating tasks, prepare pre-setup materials, monitor quality, and help with changeovers under supervision.

Qualifications

• No prior printing experience required; entry-level position.
• Willingness to learn mechanical and operational tasks.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist press operator with quality monitoring and setup tasks.
• Support ink/coating handling, viscosity checks, and waste management.
• Prepare pre-setup materials (sleeves, mandrels, rolls) for changeovers.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area and follow 5S/food safety protocols.
• Assist with routine equipment maintenance and PM activities.
