Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ seeks a Night Shift Post-Partum Couplet Care RN to join our inpatient team. You will provide direct mother/baby care and collaborate with physicians and support staff.

Ideal candidates hold an NLN/AACN-accredited nursing program, NJ RN license, NRP and BLS, with 1–2 years of Mother/Baby or Med-Surg experience and EFM training within 6 months.

Qualifications

• RN with NLN/AACN-accredited nursing program.
• NRP Certification required.
• BLS must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer.
• RN license in NJ or compact with NCL multistate license.
• 1–2 years Mother/Baby or Med-Surg nursing experience.
• Completed AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring course within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• The RN Post-Partum Staff functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population in order to achieve desired outcomes.
• Direct and oversee the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.
• Coordinate patient care and unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services.
• The RN Staff Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager.
