Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Post-Op Med Surg unit at Baptist Medical Center East. This full-time night-shift role focuses on supervision and coordination of nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care across shifts.

The RN will perform assessments, plan and implement care using the nursing process, collaborate with physicians, and handle duties within the unit’s scope. BSN preferred; current RN license and BLS required, ACLS/PALS/NRP may be needed per area.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing is required; BSN preferred.
• Active RN licensure and BLS required.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP/TNCC etc. may be required depending on area.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing staff on shift, including weekends and holidays, to ensure quality and continuity of patient care.
• Use the nursing process for patient assessments, planning of care, and execution of interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other clinicians in planning and implementing patient care.
• Additional duties may be assigned within the scope of the role.
