Job summary

ProMedica in Defiance, OH, is seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist for the Sleep Center on a full-time night shift. The position offers a $20,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates with a 2-year commitment and requires certification or enrollment in sleep credentialing pathways.

Expect comprehensive sleep studies, patient care, and education as part of the role. Work involves PSG, CPAP, Bi-level, REM studies and collaboration with the clinical director and health care team to ensure

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 12 months experience in Polysomnography.
• RPSGT certification.
• BLS certification.
• If not RPSGT, enrollment to obtain sleep credential and maintain registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate care to patients of all ages.
• Employ critical thinking and modify care based on evaluation.
• Perform routine and complex PSG recordings and related procedures.
• Follow chain of command, maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with the health care team to ensure seamless care.
• Maintain BCLS, pursue CEUs (10 CEU's per year or 50 CEU's in 5 years).
• Performs other duties as assigned.
