Job summary

Toledo Ice Cream, a DFA company, is hiring Plant Sanitation Technicians to perform sanitation duties to ensure quality products. The role follows GMP and DFA standards, with work in a cold environment and a schedule Sunday through Thursday, 11 PM–7:30 AM.

Competitive hourly pay with a training rate and shift differential, plus benefits including health coverage and paid time off. Candidates should pass pre-employment screenings and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must have clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to legibly write entries for record keeping.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments as part of a team.
• Ability to follow SSOPs and GMPs.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble equipment for cleaning per instructions.
• Follow SSOPs to clean and sanitize equipment, tanks, and pipelines.
• Ensure all chemical containers are labelled clearly.
• Maintain accurate cleaning cycle and chemical strength records.
• Perform basic housekeeping in plant and equipment areas.
• Pre-operations checks on product contact surfaces before start-up.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and report problems.
