Job summary

Vulcan Materials Company is seeking a Night Shift Plant Maintenance Specialist to support operations and execute routine maintenance with minimal supervision. This role involves inspecting critical areas, performing preventive tasks, and assisting with larger maintenance projects to build technical expertise and operational awareness.

Responsibilities include equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintaining logs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in plant maintenance or related field preferred.
• MSHA/OSHA knowledge required; LOTO training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections and perform scheduled preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and replace basic mechanical components (conveyor belts, idlers, pulleys, water pumps).
• Perform structural repairs, hard facing, and replace wear-parts (crusher liners, shaker screens) using welding, cutting, grinding equipment.
• Adhere to MSHA and OSHA regulations and maintain a hazard-free work area (LOTO).
• Observe plant operations to identify anomalies and make minor adjustments.
• Record and maintain service logs and maintenance records for plant equipment.
