Job summary

Bunge is seeking a Plant Electrician for the Destrehan, LA grain elevator. The role emphasizes electrical maintenance, safety, and contributing to the site's food safety culture.

Key duties include troubleshooting up to 4160 VAC, servicing VFD/AC/DC systems, wiring and blueprint reading, maintaining switchgear, and supporting plant operations. Schedule is Mon–Fri 7a–3p with overtime; pay is $32.44 per hour. This hands-on position requires teamwork and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years industrial electrical experience.
• Working knowledge of thermography.
• Knowledge of NFPA70E guidelines.
• TWIC card or ability to obtain TWIC.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plant-wide electrical troubleshooting and repair on equipment up to 4160VAC.
• Troubleshoot and repair VFD and AC/DC systems.
• Repair electrical components of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Run conduit, size and pull wires, and read blueprints/schematics.
• Inspect installations for conformity to standards.
• Maintain electrical switchgear and related safety systems.
