A Day in the Life

The Bunge North America Bellevue, Ohio location is looking for a Plant Electrician for our processing/refinery plant. This position is responsible for electrical maintenance and repair of production equipment in a multi‑purpose soybean processing facility.

Position Details

Night shift; 4:45 PM-5:00 AM (rotating 12‑hour shifts). Must have availability to work weekends and overtime as required. Pay: $35.81 - $40.44.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Repair and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot motor control and lighting systems.
  • Work with three‑phase motors: select starter sizes, change overloads & heaters, wire terminations, rotate phases, and perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Familiarize with PLC main components, troubleshoot, install, and repair.
  • Interpret instrumentation schematics/symbols, install, troubleshoot, and repair.
  • Use HMI screens to troubleshoot and understand process controls.
  • Apply AC motor/VFD theories: size VFDs, control wiring, install and configure, modify parameters, and troubleshoot and maintain.
  • Install electrical conduit, cable trays, wiring, and electrical equipment.
  • Install small three‑phase transformers (size & wire).
  • Build emergency lighting battery UPS systems and inverter controls.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Understanding of industrial plant electric distribution systems and industrial plant control systems.
  • Basic understanding of NFPA 70E and 70B Codes (safety and testing).
  • Ability to run rigid and flexible conduit in the field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Associate’s degree and/or technical certification.
  • Working knowledge of Electrical Hazardous Area Classifications (Class I & Class II).
