Job summary

You will train for PTCB certification, work with the pneumatic tube system, and collaborate with pharmacists to ensure safe and timely medication delivery.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, be enrolled in the PTTP or certified, and preferably have health care experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous work experience in health care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Trains and participates in medication storage and inventory management activities.
• Triages phone calls and handles medication requests appropriately, deferring all clinical decisions to a pharmacist for follow up.
• Communicates with pharmacy colleagues, customers, patients, and all hospital staff; maintains patient confidentiality.
• Prepares for PTCB Certification through the PTU program and completes required training.
• Operates pneumatic tube system and assists with medication delivery.
