Job summary

The University of Rochester in Rochester, NY is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the 500160 Pharmacy SMH team. This full-time, 40-hour role provides specialized support, training, troubleshooting, and process improvement for the department.

Space constraints notwithstanding, candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a national PTCB certification on hire, and ASHP training or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 3 years pharmacy tech experience preferred.
• Certification from a nationally accredited pharmacy technician program (PTCB) on hire.
• ASHP accredited training or equivalent experience on hire.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains training materials for the specialty area and trains staff.
• Maintains SOPs and improves workflow to maximize efficiency.
• Troubleshoots pharmacy software/hardware including eRecord, Pyxis, and CII Safe.
• Provides coverage for specialized area and mentors staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
