Job summary

Baystate Health, home to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA, is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician for the overnight shift. The role supports the pharmacy team under pharmacist supervision in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You'll perform distributive duties, operate Pyxis and other automated systems, and ensure medication safety while prioritizing patient care. MA license and national certification are required, with acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Massachusetts Licensed Pharmacy Technician required.
• National Certification (PTCB, ExCPT, or NRCPhT) required.
• Previous acute care technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Distributive Pharmacy Services and medication preparation per policy.
• Maintain knowledge of high-alert medications and safety practices.
• Triages orders, prioritizes work, and assists pharmacists; handles department calls.
