Job summary

CommuniCare Family of Companies is seeking licensed Pharmacy Dispensing Technicians to work the night shift at our Ohio facilities. Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will prepare prescriptions for dispensing, maintain inventory, verify prescriptions, and support automated packaging processes.

Candidates must have an Ohio pharmacy technician license; national certification preferred. Prior long-term care experience and knowledge of FrameworkLTC are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be an Ohio licensed Pharmacy Technician.
• National Technician Certification preferred.
• Previous Long Term Care pharmacy experience a plus.
• Knowledge of FrameworkLTC a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare prescriptions for dispensing by the pharmacist by retrieving, counting, pouring, weighing, and at times mixing medication.
• Make requisitions for drugs and supplies with professional guidance from the pharmacists.
• Receive and maintain inventory of drugs and chemicals and ensure their security.
• Verify that information on the prescription is complete and accurate.
• Print prescription labels and package prescriptions according to Long Term Care policy standards.
