Job summary

Professional Performance Development Group (PPDG) seeks a skilled Night Shift Pharmacist for Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune, NC. This coverage role supports 24-hour inpatient/outpatient pharmaceutical care with 12-hour overnight shifts, reporting to be determined.

The candidate will perform sterile and non-sterile compounding, provide pharmacotherapy expertise, and coordinate with the care team to ensure safe, evidence-based medication use for active-duty members and families.

Qualifications

• Degree: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.
• Education: ACPE-accredited program.
• Certifications: BLS required.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year post-graduation in inpatient practice.
• Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted pharmacist license.

Responsibilities

• Compound medications, including sterile compounding per USP 797/800.
• Provide clinical direction to pharmacy technicians and corpsmen.
• Maintain clinical privileges per MTF requirements.
• Perform therapeutic drug monitoring (e.g., anticoagulation, pharmacokinetics).
• Prescribe medications within MTF policies and practice scope.
• Document interventions and pharmaceutical care activities per policy.
• Provide drug information and clinical consultation to physicians and nurses.
• Conduct and document drug utilization reviews (DURs).
• Coordinate bedside medication delivery and patient education.
