Job summary

Amazon Inc. is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to enhance access to medications and ensure safety and quality in a fast-paced online pharmacy. The role covers clinical reviews, verification, and end-to-end dispensing with emphasis on accuracy and patient care.

You will work with technicians to maintain efficient workflows, manage inventory, and uphold regulatory compliance across state and federal guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in PharmD or Doctor of Pharmacy, or Bachelor's degree in Science.
• Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in state of employment.
• Understanding of pharmacy laws and federal/state regulations relating to patient care.
• Proficiency with basic computer functions and pharmacy systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical data review, prescription verification, and virtual patient consultations in compliance with regulations.
• Manage end-to-end prescription fulfillment including dispensing using automated systems and manual fill.
• Package and prepare prescriptions for shipment or site injections, handling refrigerated and bulk items.
• Maintain quality standards and safety protocols while meeting CPT and production targets.
• Split time between prescription verification and fulfillment based on operational needs.
• Perform thorough DUR and ensure accurate documentation in pharmacy systems.
• Monitor and manage pharmacy inventory compliantly.
• Collaborate with technicians and pharmacists to maintain efficient workflow.
• Identify and report quality or safety concerns promptly while complying with regulations.
• Complete daily tasks including processing returns, rejections, substitutions, and approvals.
