Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital is seeking experienced registered nurses for the Night shift in the Emergency Department at the Thomas Campus, a 68-bed ED caring for over 100,000 patients annually and the only ACS verified Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center in Arizona.

Candidates must have at least 1 year of RN experience; prior pediatric ED, adult ED, or critical care exposure is preferred. New grads should apply to New Graduate RN opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year RN experience.
• Pediatric ED, acute, or critical care experience preferred.
• Night shift availability required.

Responsibilities

• Completes nursing assessment of patient conditions across ages to determine care plans.
• Continually evaluates patient responses; documents progress and communicates with team and families.
• Contributes to team effort while ensuring medication safety and proper documentation.
• Provides orientation to the unit, hospital systems, and processes for patients and families.
• Supervises care activities and mentors team members to maintain safety and quality.
• Collaborates with care teams to coordinate plans of care and ongoing communication.
• Models best practices and patient-centered care; supports students and new staff.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as requested.
