Job summary

Seattle Children's is seeking a Night Shift patient safety specialist to supervise and support patients and families in a fast-paced behavioral health setting. You will intervene to maintain safety for children and collaborate with care teams across locations.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1+ year in customer service or child safety, BLS on hire, and Safety Care certification within 3 months. Inpatient experience and de-escalation training are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related experience in customer service and/or caring for and maintaining safety of children.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) on hire; Safety Care certification required within 3 months of hire and annually thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision, coaching, and support to patients and families.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and implement interventions to maintain safety of patients with mental and behavioral health challenges.
• Assist patients with a variety of behavioral and physical symptoms related to mental illness.
