Job summary

The Hospitals of Providence in El Paso, Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PCU - Progressive Care Unit to join our clinical team.

This night-shift, full-time role provides direct patient care, coordinates care, administers medications, and supports hospital-wide safety standards while supervising junior staff as needed.

Required: graduation from an accredited nursing program and current RN licensure; BLS is required, ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable by policy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Required: Currently licensed RN in Texas; BLS required.
• Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing.
• 1 year RN experience for PRN status (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care to PCU patients per shift.
• Assess, plan, implement nursing care and discharge planning.
• Supervise junior staff and coordinate care with the care team.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Uphold safety, infection control, and quality standards.
