Job summary

Lovelace Health System in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a night-shift Labor and Delivery Patient Care Technician (PCT) for full-time hours. You will assist with basic patient care under nursing supervision, help with daily activities, and monitor patient progress while reporting to the RN.

Phlebotomy and related skills are a plus, with entry-level responsibilities in a supportive team setting. The role emphasizes patient comfort, safety, and collaboration with obstetric teams to ensure quality care

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer before direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under supervision of nursing/medical staff.
• Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observe patients' progress and report to the Registered Nurse or medical staff.
• Record vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests.
• Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
