Job summary

Lovelace Health System is seeking a Night shift, full-time Post-Partum Patient Care Technician (PCT) in Albuquerque, NM. This entry-level role supports nursing and medical staff by delivering basic patient care and assisting with daily activities.

You will monitor vitals, document progress, and help with ADLs, while pursuing required certifications. The position offers opportunities for growth within a people-first healthcare environment at Lovelace Health System.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• 1 year of experience in acute or long-term care preferred.
• Experience in Phlebotomy or completion of a Phlebotomy course preferred.
• Working toward CNA, PCT, or paramedic (EMT-P) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in an entry-level position providing basic patient care under the direction of nursing and medical staff.
• Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observe patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to Registered Nurses or other medical staff.
• Obtain and record patients' vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests.
• Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
