Job summary

Scripps Health in Chula Vista, CA invites you to join us as a Patient Care Assistant. This full‑time role offers a 72‑hour per pay period schedule with a 12‑hour night shift, including weekends and holidays, and a benefits package covering health, wellness, career development, and retirement options.

You will work with the clinical care team to provide excellent patient service, assist with personal care and ADLs, collect data, and ensure a safe, organized environment.

Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred.
• One year acute care experience preferred.
• Must be able to speak, read and follow instruction in English.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care provider.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a service aptitude.
• Enrollment or completion of Nursing Assistant training or RN program second semester.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to patients as a key member of the clinical care team.
• Assist with personal care and activities of daily living, data collection, and ensuring a safe, organized environment.
• Assist with patient care under the direction of a clinician.
• Support the unit with patient logistics, clerical tasks, equipment/supply, and charge reconciliation duties.
