Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Current CPR certification required or obtained prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients, supplies and equipment to and from all departments within the medical center.
• Expedites Emergency Department room turnover and patient placement.
• Transports patients to the correct department and provides assistance to the Transport RN as needed.
• Handles equipment safely, reports malfunctions, and ensures proper storage.
• Delivers specimens, blood bank products, central sterile supplies and paperwork per policy.
