Job summary

Jefferson Health Northeast is seeking a Patient Transport Associate to move patients between inpatient rooms, testing areas, and procedures. The role requires transporting patients by wheelchair or stretcher, reporting changes to the nurse in charge, and ensuring equipment is clean and ready for use.

You will work a night shift at the Langhorne, PA location. Responsibilities include assisting with transfers, maintaining clean transport equipment, and observing patients for adverse conditions

Responsibilities

• Transports and transfers non-monitored/stable patients as directed.
• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff in line with Jefferson values.
• Ensures IV drip rates and sites, oxygen volume flow or other equipment are checked by staff RN prior to transport and notifies RN of changes.
• Follows patient identification procedures before transport to or from a service area.
• Maintains cleanliness of wheelchairs, stretchers, and equipment.
