Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience as a patient sitter or similar role in a healthcare setting.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support completed within 14 days of hire required.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and privacy regulations.

Responsibilities

• Observes and monitors assigned patients to ensure safety according to policies.
• Maintains continuous visual observation and stays with the patient at all times.
• Reports safety hazards or changes in patient condition to RN promptly.
• Follows infection control precautions and uses PPE per facility guidelines.
• Assists with non-clinical tasks to reduce patient anxiety and restlessness.
• Maintains patient privacy, dignity, and a safe environment.
