Job summary

Temple Health – Temple University Health System in Philadelphia is seeking a Nursing Support aide to provide direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of a registered nurse during night shifts. This part-time role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a Nurses Aide/Medical Assistant program (or EMT training or nursing student rotation) and at least 1 year of related patient care experience.

Basic Life Support is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
• Nurses Aide or Medical Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation program, EMT training program or Nursing student with satisfactory completion of Nursing 101 clinical or equivalent clinical rotation Required.
• 1 year experience in a related patient care role.
• Basic Life Support Required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of the registered nurse.
• Measures vital signs, performs ECGs, venipuncture, IV placement, capillary blood glucose testing.
• Unit Secretary, Patient Transport, and Environment of Care duties.

Education
