Job summary

Tucson Medical Center is hiring a Patient Care Technician for the Adult Med Surg Unit 750. You will provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN or Case Manager, support respiratory and rehabilitation services, and assist with phlebotomy and EKGs.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and typically 1 year of patient care experience or equivalent nursing program exposure. Expect a full-time night shift on a busy unit with a focus on compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Education requirement: high school diploma or GED.
• BLS certification required.
• 1 year of patient care experience preferred; or completion of nursing clinicals/ CNA/LNA credentials.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and collect specimens.
• Assist with activities of daily living and basic patient care.
• Perform phlebotomy and EKGs as directed by RN.
