Prisma Health’s Richland Hospital in the United States seeks a Nursing Assistant to support the Registered Nurse by performing routine assistive tasks and basic patient care in the 9E Acute Care of the Elderly department. Duties include feeding, ambulation, elimination, vital signs, and basic diagnostic tasks as needed.

Qualifications include completion of a Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Technician, or Medical Assistant program, with a high school diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Technician or Medical Assistant program.
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year hospital clerical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with feeding, hydration and meal setup.
• Assist with ambulation and fall prevention under RN guidance.
• Assist with elimination and monitor inputs/outputs.
• Record and document vital signs; report abnormal values.
• May perform Monitor Tech, drawing blood, or EKGs.
• Assist with personal hygiene tasks.
