Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide individualized nursing care using the nursing process and to collaborate with the health care team to meet patient needs.

You will support patients and families across the nights shift, maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment and contributing to care planning, health teaching, and adherence to MUSC standards of care and professional practice.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification required within 2 weeks of hire.
• Ability to perform nursing tasks and assist in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process.
• Direct and lead other team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure age/developmentally appropriate patient care and health teaching.
