Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist with critical patient care tasks during a 7 p.m.–7 a.m. schedule. You will work under the supervision of RNs and LPNs, help monitor vitals and fluid intake/output, and complete an in-house training program to ensure safety and quality of care.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification within 30 days of employment.
• Experience or training in patient care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for technical aspects of patient care as directed by RN/LPN.
• Obtain and record vitals, weight, and inputs/outputs.
• Complete the in-house PCT training program.
• Demonstrate awareness of patient and personal safety.
