Community Health Systems is seeking a Patient Care Technician for CDU Short Stay Nights in Powell, TN. The role supports nursing staff by delivering basic patient care, monitoring vitals, and assisting with activities of daily living in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The ideal candidate has 0–2 years in acute care or is currently in a nursing program, with BCLS within 90 days of hire. CNA or CPCT credentials are preferred, and the position requires reliable attendance and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in an acute care setting or current enrollment in a nursing program preferred.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire required.
• CNA or CPCT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with patient care and basic services, maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment.
• Record and report vital signs, intake/output, and other patient data to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Assist with meals, bathing, grooming, linen changes, and mobility. Provide comfort and support.
• Ensure infection control protocols and PPE usage are followed at all times.
• Communicate patient information clearly to the care team and participate in team huddles.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and participate in performance improvement activities.
