Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Bolingbrook is seeking a patient care technician for our night shift team. You will support nursing staff, assist with basic patient care, and document procedures while promoting a safe, clean environment.

Schedule: 36 hours per week, night shift from 6:30pm to 7:00am with rotating weekends and holidays. Up to a $3,000 sign-on bonus. Requires High School or equivalent and BLS CPR; CNA/CPCT-A/NCPCT/PCT-C/EMT certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification required.
• Nursing care-related certifications preferred as listed (CNA/CPCT-A/NCPCT/AMCA PCT-C/EMT).

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments and patient care per policy, considering age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Communicates with patients and healthcare team; maintains clean, safe environment.
• Assists in delivery of patient care under RN supervision; documents procedures.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and adheres to safety standards.
